What are the meal plan options for dining at Cabrini?

Do students have to have a meal plan?

All resident students are required to participate in a meal plan.

How can I purchase or change my meal plan?

Students enroll in a meal plan when they register for classes in the fall and spring through Residence Life.

If a student wishes to change their meal plan, they may contact Residence Life at (610) 902-8410.

What are the hours of operation?

You can find current hours of operation on the CAVS Corner, Jazzman's, Sandella's or The Late Night At Cavs tabs.

What are Flex Dollars?

Flex dollars are dollars that come with your meal plan that allow you to pay for meals in between meal exchange periods, for meals that exceed your meal exchange dollars, or snack items in our retail locations.

What is CAV Cash?

CAV Cash is a voluntary debit account that is attached to your student ID card. You may use CAV Cash on campus.

If I need more CAV Cash, how can I add more?

If you are running low on CAV Cash, you may add funds online here.  Or you may call the dining services office at (610) 902-8505.

What if I have special dietary needs or if I am on a medically restricted diet?

Our campus dining team can assist you with that. For more information, please contact the Dining Services office at (610) 902-8505.

What kinds of options are there for vegetarians?

We have an extensive salad bar that always has vegetables and starches for vegetarians and vegans. The Action Station always offers vegetarian options. A variety of vegetarian pizzas and veggie burgers are made to order when requested.

Can I bring guests to the Dining Hall?

Yes! We welcome all guests! You can simply pay the door rate when you enter.

Can I use my meal plan for my parents or guest?

Yes, by exercising your flexible spending (Flex Dollars) that is attached to your meal plan or CAV Cash.

If I am going off campus for a college sponsored program or activity and I am going to miss a meal, what can I do?

Normally, the office that is sponsoring the activity will request a box meal for students that are attending the event. If this is not the case, please call ahead to Dining Services at (610) 902-8505 with the following information: name, ID#, meal and the time you need to pick up your meal. Dining Services will have a box meal ready for you.

Does the Dining Hall serve the same food daily?

Dining Services offers a variety of menus daily and weekly. However, we do serve some popular items consistently like pizzas, burgers, fries and pasta. On Tuesday, we offer our popular Chicken Nugget Wraps.

If I am sick and cannot come to the Dining Hall for a meal, can I have a roommate or friend pick something up for me?

Yes. Please call ahead to Dining Services at (610) 902-8505 with the following information: name, ID#, meal, time your friend needs to pick up the meal and their name. Dining Services will have a box meal ready for you.

Does Dining Services hire student employees? If so, what jobs are available and how do I apply?

Yes, we encourage students to assist us on a part-time basis. Jobs that are available include dining room attendants and utility personnel. To apply, come to the Dining Services office with your roster and fill out an application.

If I have suggestions for Dining Services how can I submit them?

Your feedback is always welcome! Visit our feedback page, call our office (610) 902-8505, completed a comment card, e-mail us or visit our office in CAVS Corner.

Who do I contact if I have a problem or concern with my meal?

You are encouraged to stop in to the Dining Services office located in Founder's Hall and let us know what we can do to assist you.

Our Goals
One of our main goals is to provide a pleasant, clean, comfortable and satisfying dining experience. In order to meet this goal, we ask for your assistance with the following procedures:

  • Please bus your plates and disposables from your table when you have finished dining.
  • Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
  • Remember that Meal Cards are non-transferable. Meal cards cannot be used by anyone but the purchaser.

Lost or Stolen Meal Cards can be replaced
Should this happen to you…

  • Use Manage My Meal Plan to deactivate your card IMMEDIATELY (make sure you are registered first)
  • Or contact Public Safety at (610) 902-8246
